April 2nd push of external beta rollout of HarmonyOS NEXT Developer Preview 2 (2.0.0.66)

New external beta update rollout!

Weibo posts from tech bloggers, vloggers, and influencers as well as developers are reciving the push for the new version of HarmonyOS NEXT canary pre-release builds to more devices of registered users that have been selected for the Developer Preview program in China. Here’s a series of screenshots below:

There is no screenlog on actual details other than the promotion of this Developer Preview being rolled out to more registered developer devices. I’ve heard about from this information among previous leak of timeline releases of NEXT, that phones and tablets are part the expansion of the external beta rollouts throughout this month until June 30th at HDC 2024 where public Developer Beta begins at the second quarter of the year, and fourth quarter is the general release with private to public beta phases and stable as late as September 30th, the same time as Mate 70 and NEXT devices flagship devices launch from Huawei that continues till October period.
